Kung Lao First Person Story

I train with best of the best at the Wu Shi Academy, taking in every breath of air to make my next move more devistating to my opponents who choose to face me.  Liu Kang and I have been on edge for a couple of weeks, wondering if Shao Kahn is going to invade Earthrealm by breaking the sacred rules of Mortal Kombat.  Even though I didn't come along to help them fight in the tournament, I warned Raiden of the traps in Goro's Lair.  Had it not been for me, the Earthrealm warriors would've never escaped Shang Tsung's island.  I pride on myself for fighting for my ancestors, for they have came in my dreams and spoke of my destiny in being the next Mortal Kombat champion, such as Liu Kang has attained.  But I still wonder why it wasn't me in the tournament.  My ancestor, the great Kung Lao, was undefeated for many years.  Everytime Shang Tsung had a chance to fight him, the evil sorcerer could not defeat him.  Where he was drawing his power from is uncertain to me.  But I know that he was a great warrior and champion.  That was until Goro was influenced by Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung's sorcery.  My ancestor fought with a great deal of pride, knowing that the fate of Earthrealm rested on his shoulders.  But Goro was too powerful for him, even as strong as he was.  Goro is of the Shokan race in Outworld.  He stood eight feet tall and had four arms, almost like a  mythological creature you never wanted to see.  Half human and half dragon, he made his way to Shang Tsung's courtyard and destroyed my ancestor with one blow, killing him instantly.  And as a result of Goro being under Shang Tsung's sorcery, Shang Tsung claimed the tournament champion title for himself.  Goro was then undefeated for another two thousand years, until his death at the hands of an Earthrealm warrior named Johnny Cage.  I still wish Johnny wouldn't of killed him, for I vowed to free my ancestor from his eternal imprisonment.  My ancestor would not rest until both Shang Tsung and Goro were dead.  And Shang Tsung still roams free.  But I vow to take revenge at the next Mortal Kombat tournament, for he will be there I'm sure, once again trying to take over Earthrealm for the emperor Shao Kahn.  I'll be ready and Shang Tsung won't know what's coming.  For I am the descendent of the great Kung Lao, and I have grown more stronger and wiser than ever.
